Tamar G. Arminak

An Associate at Geragos & Geragos, APC, Tamar G. Arminak specializes in civil litigation, including wrongful death cases, complex litigation, class actions, medical malpractice, products liability, mass torts, and catastrophic personal injuries. Ms. Arminak also allocates a portion of her practice to the private matters of her high profile clients, including restraining orders and injunctions against paparazzi harassment, unauthorized use of name or likeness cases, and contract matters.

Ms. Arminak has litigated matters against various major corporations and government entities, including multiple cases against banking giant Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, pharmaceutical goliath Pfizer, McKesson drug company, the City of Santa Monica, the City of Orange, the City of Los Angeles, UCLA Regents, a major railroad company, Aladdin Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Bernini Clothing Company, Toyota Motor Company, POM Wonderful, Inc., Kabba Locks, CVS Drugstores, and CIGNA Heathcare. Among her largest jury verdicts are verdicts against Orange County Sheriffs' Department and Bank of America.

Ms. Arminak has further successfully litigated several pharmaceutical mass torts and products liability cases, including wrongful deaths caused by defective drugs involving VIOXX, Celebrex, and Zyprexa. Ms. Arminak is currently representing the parents of a deceased in a wrongful death unintended acceleration products liability suit against Toyota Motor Corporation.

Additionally, she has contributed her gripping story to "Reaching the Bar: Stories of Women at all Stages of their Law Careers," inspiring young women to defy the odds in reaching their own goals. Most notably, Ms. Arminak has been recognized as a Rising Star by Southern California's Super Lawyers in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Tamar Arminak joined the Geragos & Geragos team as a law clerk during her final year of law school, assisting the Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation departments of the firm. Prior to joining Geragos & Geragos, Ms. Arminak's legal experience included clerkships at firms specializing in Employment Law and Contract Litigation. She also served as a Summer Associate at the law firm of Lax & Stevens, specializing in Construction Law.

Ms. Arminak earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies from Chapman University, where she also studied Russian Art History. She also studied European History at the University of London, King's College. Ms. Arminak earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 2005. She is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in California, and has been pro hac viced in Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania.
